Getting ready for MIDTERM EXAM
1. Prepare for Spoken & for Listening (WED.) part of Midterm
a. Listening = Ch 3
b. Spoken: Don’t stress out. It’s moi, Madame – not a stranger.
We've chatted in French before, so it's all smooth sailing.
2. Study for Midterm : See your Review sheet
a. Ch 3 (subjunctive!) + Au Revoir = focus
b. This doesn't mean you should ignore the other info on the review sheet.
It’s to help you decide how to study – where to focus your
attention/time.
3. Fill out your "Feuille de Patate" to reflect what we've seen so far. UPDATE IT! You will hand it in on exam day.
NOTICE: Au Revoir Les Enfants portion of the exam:
A. Histoire (1-5)
B. Vocabulaire (11x3 = 33pts) ...Définition en français
C. Compréhension (4X7 = 28 pts)
-l'histoire, l'année, la date, les personnages
-la situation politique
-l'école, les écoliers, les profs
D. Une lettre (Julien à sa mère: décrivant Jean) 19.5 pts
E. Une lettre (Jean à sa mère: décrivant Julien) 19.5 pts
You will need to use passé compose and imparfait to talk about what the boys did...etc. You will need to use Si clauses to indicate.
