Today we saw 3 wonderful Suisse presentations. Feliciations!
We finished up the WWII background PPt. If there is anything you are lost/confused about, be sure to see me...even if it's just to clarify.
les devoirs
1. Go over your notes. Be sure you took good notes.
2. Vue 1 vocab [ARLE]: write a French definition that helps you understand the word; also write an English equivalent of the word.  This MUST be done for next class. There is NO 50% credit for late work on these vocab things. You need to do them to be prepared for each class in which we watch ARLE.
3. "Mon Journal" page: consider the vocabulary and answer thoughtfully. DO NOT GIVE 1 or 2 word answers. For example: Do not say: 1. Peu de gens savent que je joue du piano. ADD DETAILS like: When I was 10 I won a piano competition. My favorite piece to play is xxxxx. When I play the piano, I feel relaxed.
This sheet is worth 25 points, short pithy answers = short pithy grade. I suggest at least 3 sentences per number. (These sentences are not all long ones; they are personal, though -- so give thought to what you are writing.)

We began the unit on France during WWII, which will feature Louis Malle's 1980s movie classis "Au Revoir les Enfants" [ARLE]. I presented most of a powerpoint which highlighted the basic 3 reasons for French collaboration with the Nazis during WWII. My overview is general. We are not going to get into the fine details. The goal is for you to have a basic understanding of the times and of the explanations for some French political choices.
les devoirs
1. Read through the text upon which the Ppt is based. Improve your notes. Prepare questions you may have. Read to the end to prepare yourselves for the end of the Ppt next class.
2. Start filling out your TIME LINE. You won't have much to add at this point.
. Project presentations begin. Have a text & your rubrics ready for Madame.
